Re: 2001 gas club car tank not venting
There is/should be a seperate vent line on your tank...
It comes from the top of the tank, and goes down to a hole in the frame, and stops. remove the line from the top of the tank and blow in it, if it's plugged, clean out the other end of the line! keep in mind, there is a plastic cross part in the end of the line to prevent the line from colapsing, or sucking up debris! Remove, clean, and reinstall! |

Re: 2001 gas club car tank not venting
are the lines from the top of tank, and carb connected?? or are they 2 different lines, I pulled the line out from under the tank to check it and then just cnnected it to the carb line with a inline vacume connector... i did not remove tank to see if these were connected i assumed they were because both lines are clear and went through hole in frame

The tank vent is black bung on top of the tank. The line is usually yellow and smaller than the gas line. This line has to be open. You can't connect it to the carb. Once ya get the tank to vent, see if the backfire stopped.

Put it back where it was! It's a tank vent line and is NOT supposed to be hooked to anything! It should be left OPEN... so the gas tank can breath! Get a service and repair manual from your CC dealer! It'll help with your inexperience with golf cars! |
