G16 rear end issue
Went to look at a G16 last week for possible purchase. Cart ran good but has a noise that appears to be coming from the rear axle..
With the rear jacked up I spun a tire. I could hear a distinct clicking sound. the other tire did not turn (I expected it to turn opposite direction). I walked away from it for now. When I got home I jacked up my son's G16 and spun the tire. Other rear tire turned the opposite direction and there was zero noise to note. Any ideas as to what the issue with the other cart may be? |

Re: G16 rear end issue
G16 Transaxles are known for gearbox issues.Especially Input shaft and bearing failures. It may have a damaged differential if the noise is when spinning the tires. Some of the parts for those aren't cheap,I think the input shaft runs about $150,but if the price is right,it still may be worth a shot, especially if you can handle rebuilding the gearbox yourself.Hope this helps.

Re: G16 rear end issue
Pull the drums off, so they can't prevent the other wheel from spinning.
