Using press to push off bearings and gear, they came off vary easy.

Re: High Speed Gear Install With Pic's
old counter shaft, bearings and gear all apart next to new counter shaft.
GOING BACK TOGATHER... Use a hard rubber mallet to get bearings and gear started before pressing on just a little tapy tap.also coat the mating surfaces with a little gear lube before pressing on. |

I'LL be reinstalling the gear set this weekend. I'll post the performace results then. Hope I still have some torque left in reverse. |

Re: High Speed Gear Install With Pic's
Gears installed back into case, used RTV to seal cover ,good to go
Top forward speed before HS gears 16 mph after 35 mph still has good torque Top reverse speed was 24 mph now ?? got scared stopped test at 30 Bad news is I lost all my torque in reverse but I have a large diameter snowmobile driven clutch I'm going to modify and make fit. |
