Re: Tiny tach
Hey guys, The tiny you use depends upon the engine you have...when ordering you will be asked to select the model for your # of cylinders and whether it is a 2 or 4 stroke....

Re: Tiny tach
I have a question re: "tinytach"
I received my tiny tach today from CPP. I installed it and really didn't like the performance. Are the others the same, or do I have a reject? Mine is installed and only gives a new RPM readout every 2 seconds or so. I drove it for 5 minutes and the hour meter read NOTHING. It says it records and displays mins. up to 59 and then converts to hours. I would have bought an analog to get (REAL TIME) RPM and paid more. I need instant/constant readout. ARE the others (tiny tac) the same? Thanks in advance! Also, the cord is too short from dash to motor for my workhorse. Its not good. |

Re: Tiny tach
Yes tony they are a little delayed in their read out. Maybe 1 second ... most of us use them as a gauge and then drive by ear after we learn where to let up? Sorry to hear aboout the too short wire problem. I never heard of anyone trying to put one on a workhorse?

Re: Tiny tach
It does work, my cart ran up to 4600 before the rev limiter kicked in. OK
The short wire and lack of time run is what gets me. I wanted the hour meter to track motor wear. Maybe it will record hours ran when I get a whole hour. Thanks for the info. |

Re: Tiny tach
Motor RPM's are always best observed with an analog device. It's the only way to get accurate "real time" data, plus you can "see" the ramp-up rate.

Re: Tiny tach
I'll call today. I'll let you know what happens.
I'll see if the other one shows ramp up, and use the tiny tach for hours (if it works right) Thanks and appreciate the input. tony |
