I need to see some rear spring shackles....
Silly me, my rear spring shackles just don't look like I've installed them correctly. Anyone have a picture of them so I can check my installation.

Re: I need to see some rear spring shackles....
Since this is a shackle thread and I hope this doesn't derail it I have a question. While under my cart I noticed that the shortest of the leaf springs wasn't actually shackled up at the ends with the rest of them. I see lock's shortest ones are shackled at the ends. Does this mean my shackles has slipped over time and need to be moved back?

Has your slipped sideways?
His looks like the heavy duty springs or an after market, I don't think standard CC's had a bracket that substantial, it was more of a small strap. Straighten them back up and tighten the Ubolt. |

Re: I need to see some rear spring shackles....
Geez Pip... your just FULL of questions, aren't ya'!
(Just messin' around... that's what we're here for!) The "shackles" wren is asking about are the Z brackets holding the rear of the leaf springs in place. (See pic below) The brackets your talking about are actually "spring alignment brackets" They keep the springs from twisting "Cockeyed sideways" and the smallest leaf won't have a bracket on it at all... it's just a "Helper" leaf! Hope this helps! |

Crash...
Those are HD leafs that came on my cart from the factory, and have since been replaced! Once I put my Jake's 3" lift on, and put the axle below the leafs, I had a weird "Clapping" noise, This is what it sounded like: |
