Max or safe rpm on a 90 ds
Well I got the newer version of the tiny tachs that have a max rpm memory display. Its the commercial TT2A tiny tach. It updates every 1/2 second. My 90 ds kf82 flat head is hitting 4630 rpms and is still pulling but not that much so I let off. I started running out of room so I didnt try for more rpms but it seemed it may go higher. My cart is all stock and all linkage is there for the limiter/gov but somethings not working right to be revving that high. It didnt backfire or seem to hurt the engine. I was doing a search and in one post I think it was NONOezgo said the flat head can rev higher or likes to rev higher than the fe290 without hurting anything.
Also what is the setting suppose to be on a flat head kf82 and a 99 fe290 for the tiny tach? Is it 360 per spark as this was the default seting as it stated most small engines are this setting. This one can do 90, 120, 360, 720 per spark etc.... I guess this is the all in one tach for any ebgine other than diesel. Here is the link of it http://www.tinytach.com/tinytach/index.php |
