Default Precedent fires w/ starter fluid only

Precedent will fire with starter fluid but will not continue to run. The car has been sitting for several years with no attention. Less than 25 total hours on car. New fuel filter, fuel and battery. Kawasaki 287cc engine. What are possible problems?

Thank you!

unhook the fuel line at carb (jack up the rear to get tires off the ground)
and crank eng,,, does it pump fuel?
If it's been setting for that long,,, the needle and seat in the carb bowl might be stuck

Dirty jets in the carb. Clean it thoroughly. Strip it, soak in carb cleaner and re-build it. You'll be glad you did

That's why Stinger how about explaining yourself if you believe you have a better way!
And how about a little respect for those that have!

CC has a little yellow cam on the backside of the F&R. The plastic yellow cam is spring loaded so you can pull it out and turn it to trigger the micro switches so it will start in neutral. You will have to turn it back to drive away.

Stinger is properly named
We don't need your help if you can't be respectful.

Finally had a bit of time to check the fuel pump and now it isn't turning over. All connections seem to be good and a new battery! Where should I start?
