The drive clutch is on the engine (front), and the driven clutch is on the trans-axle (rear),
My buddies 94 had a "dinging" (or even a "clanging") at initial start up, and it was his clutch buttons, replacing them was cheap, and fairly easy, (as long as you have a clutch puller) I strongly suggest going ahead and replace the clutch buttons and the thrust washer in your drive clutch, Something tells me that will get rid of your noise! my .02 |

Thanks for the feedback.
So if I'm going to the trouble of replacing the buttons and washer, I should replace the weights too, right? |

We didn't have to on my buddies clutch, But, you may want to open it up first to see what you may need!
