2005 Horn won't work
My 2005 Parcar horn stopped working. If I could locate the horn, I might be able to trace the problem. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks, Gary |

Do I have to take anything apart or can I get to it from the outside?

Re: 2005 Horn won't work
outside, put have to pull off hood. remove the two screws at the bottom of the lower "hood", they are a 5/16 head. Then remove the two nuts holding that assembly to the front of the shock mounts under the hood. 3/4" ratcheting box wrench. Then lift the hood up and out, and it will unlatch from the cab/dash.
I would first make sure that the switch itself shows the 12 volts there, with the B- being the battery pack. |

Re: 2005 Horn won't work
The switch seemed good, so I pulled the hood off (PITA) I checked voltage to the horn and it showed around 12.5V with the horn button depressed and no voltage when released. I then replaced the horn and still no sound. I re-checked everything and still found 12.5V everywhere it was supposed to be. When I bypassed the button, it worked fine. My guess is the the contacts in the horn button would allow 12.5 volt through but with not enough amps to blow the horn. From now on, when I wash the cart, I will try to keep water away from the horn button and the turn signal switch. I just thought I would pass this along if others are having a similar problem.
