Re: buttons on secondary clutch
So 1/4 will give me power so I will stop bogging down uphill and help on the shifts? And how exactly do I remove the secondary clutch? I also have a spare outback the has a tougher spring I think that cart had a dump bucket on the back so would it be better or bigger?

Re: buttons on secondary clutch
There is a writeup in the stickies for the secondary,
http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/gas-y...tructions.html Is your belt riding up to the top of the secondary sheaves? Until it is you will not get fully down to low gear ratio. When you pull the secondary off there is a thin spacer between the sheave, leave that out so the sheaves will close up a bit more which helps get the belt up in the sheave. |

Re: buttons on secondary clutch
No it is not riding up all the way to the top as it sitting without being cranked the belt is about a 1/2 inch from the top of the secondary

Re: buttons on secondary clutch
Remove the nut, I expect you have that done.
The sheave is on a tapered shaft with a woodruf key. You will need a pulled, these are simple and generally home made. You can use a metal bar or angle iron, drill two holes to the spacing that you see near the center of the sheave. Insert two 6mm bolts and snug them till the sheave pops free. |
