Default Trojan Ranger 160 Batteries...better than standard for Club Car?

Hi there.

Following on from previous post, just want to check that the Ranger 160s beat the standard Club Car 8 v batteries as I can't find specs for the standard ones online.

Ranger 160 has 295 mins @45Amps or 117 mins @56Amps.

Also want to check that the 160 will fit and slot straight into my 2010 Club Car Precedent without modification.

Many thanks

Forget all those confusing numbers. All you need to know is that the Ranger has a storage capacity of 1.8 KwH as compared to the T875 which has a capacity of 1.5 KwH. Multiply those numbers by 6 to get your total KwH's. It looks like the ranger is slightly taller.

I'm not getting batteries until fall, but are these rangers the best 8v Trojan batteries? I plan to go Trojan but wasn't sure which ones...

Great info. The standard batteries failed me after 20 months. Does anyone know the KWH capacity of the standards? Can't seem to find any specs for the Club Cars own brand batteries online.

My 2010 Precedent has Crown batteries installed originally. Here are their specs.

OK the Precedent standards are 8V PD Plus batteries but no specifications seem to be available anywhere I look. I want to know the specs as a benchmark to the Ranger 160s.

To the best of my knowledge, Club Car has used various battery manufacturers over the years.

I believe the chart below was compiled by JohnnieB who usually hangs out on the ezgo side. It assumes the 170ah batteries are the most commonly used. Prices vary a lot.

Crown batteries is or was the supplier to Club Car for the Power Drive battery so it seems safe ENOUGH to assume that the 165@20AH battery is baseline...

Keep in mind that going above baseline in AH really does nothing performance wise but it does give you a bigger gas tank or range...
