on my 36v cart i have only 1 wire that gets hot after the carts been drivin around for a bit. i mean it gets hot! any reasons why this one wire could be doing that? its one of the battery wires, all connections tight, no other wires on the terminals. just this one battery wire...none of the others!

Default Re: hot wire

Just replace that cable.

Heat means resistance in the circuit.

The most likely place is a bad termination on the cable end where the lug is attached, but corrosion can creep up the cable through capillary action and cause stiffness and brittle strands.

If it is not caused by a loose connection at the post, the cable should be replaced.
