New heart.
Anyone here running a D&D es-9f-49 motor? How do you like it? I am hoping mine will make me smile. [Especially what this project is costing me in Canadian dollars].

Re: New heart.
ES is a custom line of motors. Might not show much info like D&D's shelf motors.
Dundee, Give us some specs. Is this a speed motor or torque motor? What's the projected top speed? HP numbers and recommended top rpm? |

Re: New heart.
Don't know all the specs. Vic at D&D recommended it based on my parameters. I know it will do 23mph with 23" tires. I wanted more speed but still needed good torque. He told me, "I KNOW farmers and what they will ask it to do! LOL" He referred me to Steve at Bohlinger Inc. who set up and sold me a Curtis 1268 500amp controller and whip. I thought I would get more specs with the build sheet that came with the motor but no.

Re: New heart.
Good deal. Vic helped me out with my motor too. It ended up giving me better results than he estimated; about 4mph more. I think you'll love it. Post back some numbers when you get it installed.

Re: New heart.
Is it a stock cart now, or do you already have a controller??

Re: New heart.
WAS a stocker aka the ghost turd. Hopefully get to squirt some paint tonight. [I HATE white.] No, I bought the motor and controller one phone call apart. Basically it will be what they call in the car hobby, a resto mod. 81 body and frame with everything else underneath new.
