I just pulled mine apart yesterday on an 03, looks about the same. I would just clean it up and truck on.

I saw that you got that motor off with the drop technique. Very good. I had a motor stuck the very same way. Ended up pounding it with 2lb sledge until the case came off the armature. Then, I couldn't get the armature unstuck from the transaxle shaft UNTIL hitting the end of the armature and driving the armature further on to the transaxle shaft just a little but that broke the rust and it then came right off. This was very crude but it worked. New motor reinstalled with 'never seize'.
