Default Turn Signal Indicator Light Remains "On".

1999 Club Car DS w/ aftermarket turn signals. With power on the cart, regardless of selector position, the indicator light is always "on". The signal system itself works fine. Have looked at wires entering selector enclosure and found breaches in insulation on almost every wire. Wires are now taped with no improvement.

My guess is you have a short in the signal mechanism that caused the indicator light to remain on.

Thank you for responding. I though that too. I had hoped to get a wiring diagram from someone on this site to help me troubleshoot. I'll take the control box apart further and check the wiring underneath the circuit board.

I don't know what kind of flasher you have, but if you look at the diagram above, the terminal marked "P" in the flasher is for the Pilot light indicator on the steering column unit.

Edit:
If You have a 2-prong flasher, both the Black and Blue wires should be connected to the L terminal.
