BronsonJ, I just now saw your post, I must have been composing mine while yours appeared. Fortunately, I guess, I put two layers of thick cardboard in the trunk for transport and it absorbed much of the spill, but it did go through to the dark blue mat on the floor. I took it out and it was discolored to a dark/wet blue and I hosed it off for quite a while. I could see even then that some of the material broke away while hosing. Once it dried, the spill area was white and it appeared that the fibers had melted into a more solid texture. It looks awful, but I intended to put it back in the trunk anyway and thought that maybe I ought to put some baking soda and water on the area so that I did not spread my disaster to another item place in the trunk. I was surprised, out of ignorance, that the area started fizzing, so I drenched the entire area and paint brushed it in and over until the fizzing stopped. The damage did not penetrate the rubber bottom of the mat, so......
Don't let this happen to you.

Stay safe everybody.
