2008 2+2 Shuttle problem turning on
Hi friends. Just bought this last week. Half the time I turn the key to On-reverse or On-Forward the cart won't move when I push the peddle down. The other half of the time it works just fine. Not sure where to look first. It runs great and I like the the cart...just a little annoyed flipping the key on off several times in order for it to move.
Any ideas? Thanks! |

Also, check the pedal microswitch. To dig deeper, we'll need to know which drive system you have. |

Re: 2008 2+2 Shuttle problem turning on
I have not checked the key switch yet...not sure how to. I guess I should remove it and check the contacts with an ohm meter maybe??? Also, not sure what drive system I have. I am pretty sure it is PDS from what I rad about this shuttle. Is there a sticker I should look at for the drive type?
Thanks friends and Merry Xmas by the way!!! |

Re: 2008 2+2 Shuttle problem turning on
Sounds like an RXV cart by the key description. Does it have 4-12v batteries under the seat, and a small louvered panel that says HOT?

Re: 2008 2+2 Shuttle problem turning on
It does have 4 12v bat's and a loouver thingy that says hot. Crud. Wont move at all now. We are in a blizzard in MI so I tried moving it to get to my snowblower. Every time I turn the key on, I hear a click under the seat and the charge needle/indicator goes to full. If I turn the key and land in reverse, I also here the click and the rear motion buzzer/alarm. Hitting the peddle results in no movement though in forward or reverse. I tried 30 times in a row:(:(:(. I have to go shovel snow...going to push it out of the way manual for now:( Thought I did good and got a great deal. I guess I have to sort some major issues out:(
Thanks all for your help...I may (will) need more...lol:) |

You may have some switch issues in the pedal. Not sure if you know but if you flip the cart to TOW and turn the key to On, It will disengage the parking brake so it will roll.

Re: 2008 2+2 Shuttle problem turning on
Hi...reading your reply, tx btw, I am more concerned:( It seems I canpush my cart out of the way (like I did a short while ago) with no regard of the Two switch. I thought it was odd but I just pushed it away 10-15 feet. I thought I had a brake system that automatically engaged (from reading a manual I found online). Mine has the feature I think (brake pedal is missing the toggle upper portion that would lock with a foot press up high)but for some reason it is not working either I guess.
Ahhh...well...wish it was warmer here in Michigan...I would jump into this real quick. My garage has no elec. yet so kinda cold...I am going to putz with it a lil during the daytime warmer hours but I worry that if it is too far complicated it will end up waiting til spring. At this point I am not sure where to even start but it's all good...no worries. Everyone here is real cool and I hope that come srping(if I need mucho time to figure this out) the folks here will still be available to help me through this one:):):) |

Re: 2008 2+2 Shuttle problem turning on
Keep the batteries charged so they don't get any worse than they already are, or freeze during the two or three weeks it'll stay below zero in late Jan and early Feb.
