Default 3 wire voltage reducer

Has anyone here installed one of these? I am wiring in a radio on my 36v txt. Either I'm doing it wrong or I have a defective unit. The place I bought from is not being much help. The wires are Vin, Vout, and common ground. The common ground thing is confusing me as well as where to ground the radio. Thanks for any help.

common ground means exactly that, battery pack ground , and any other thing that the reducer will be running

so your radio ground goes to the same place as all the other grounds, and by the sound of it, because you do not have a control wire, the reducer will always be on.

go here for a wiring diagram http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/elect...use-block.html

I just installed a 3 wire reducer. I put a separate toggle switch to turn it on and off. I have run into a problem with a volt amp meter combo that requires an isolated ground. I just powered it with a 9v battery and a micro switch. My lights and other gauge work fine.
If your radio works on common ground then no problem.
