Charger board
Can someone please direct me to a real control board that is not a knockoff but a real Powerwise or EZGO circuit board. After going through many searches, The board in question is 28667-g01. Some boards are gray, some pink, some brown, some have one chip, some have two chips. All kinds of prices from $49 to $119. This is crazy. I am wanting to replace my present two board configuration and am buying new batteries.
I called one place that has their own website and also selling on Amazon and with two different prices. Both boards look different. They were of no help and didn't know what I was talking about when I mentioned their two different prices. They stated that they both should be the same. The wording 'should be' bothers me. I am not going to be a beta tester with my new battery pack. Charger info: Date of MFG: 4-8-1993, S/N 119281 28115 G04 Last edited by jay1028; 06-16-2014 at 12:00 PM.. Reason: charger info |

I got one from Golf Cart Kings which is a sponsor of this site for $49 on Ebay and it works great! Identical to the original board. Which I already had the one board set up, but it replaces the two board set up.

Re: Charger board
JohnnieB ,
That is great info. It shows the board with the two chips. The other boards I see must be knockoffs. Thanks. My boards are 28126-g01 28126-g03. The pdf does not show those numbers. Now I am confused. There is one board mounted to the front panel and the relay board is mounted to the chassis bottom. |

Most of them will work just fine, if they will physically fit in the charger case. The control board in a ferroresonant transformer type charger is simply an semi-educated on/off switch. It knows enough to turn the charger on when about 30V or more is applied to the battery sense circuit and to turn the charger off when the battery sense voltage gets into the 44-46 volt range, of after about 16 hours have passed if the voltage doesn't climb high enough. |

Re: Charger board
Well, I ordered a charger board that the vendor had illustrated with two chips on the board. When it arrived today, it had just one as I had seen from other vendors. Guess this is the latest version.
As long as it works.... |

Re: Charger board
They went from two boards to one in a lot of these chargers.
