2004 Precedent - Slow Acceleration
Good evening BGW!
I just picked up a 2004 CC Precedent that seems to run great. However, it accelerates extremely slow. They had the governor "rod" turned so it ran fast once it got up to speed. Well after driving it the speed would keep climbing ultimately causing it to fall on its face and then start the climb over again. The CC dealership mechanic walked me through setting the governor back to stock. Ultimately, I loosened the nut on the arm, pulling the arm all the way back, putting a pin thru the rod and turning it counter clockwise from the rear access panel and then retightening the nut. It slowed it way down, but it still accelerates slow. So ultimately i want to do that following: - speed up the acceleration if possible - speed the cart up a tiny bit. (I tried adjust the governor "rod" a tiny bit back clockwise to get a tiny bit more speed, but didn't like how the cart acted when I did that.) Any help would be greatly appreciated. It does have a rear seat, if that makes a difference. We only had 2 adults max on it when I tested it out with the slow acceleration. |
