Re: G16 reno
I creep around at night too, and dont want the complaints.... but with the speed kit, I guess I can goose it, and drop out of sight before they get to their door.

Re: G16 reno
I fired up the cart last night, and really like the sound of the Zemco header. While it is louder, it was not overbearing. I will try to capture the sound and post.
The only problem I have with the header is the brake cable is to close, and the pipe puts out more heat than I anticipated. As the cable bracket at axle is welded, there are not adjustments. I need to fabricate some type of standoff, although there is not much slack in the cable. Anyone with a Yamaha dealt with this? |

Re: G16 reno
That crossed my mind. Between zip ties, duct tape, and bailing wire you can repair and install just about anything

Re: G16 reno
I would just keep a eye on it for a while, if it starts burnning/melting then do something about it. Sucks how close it is though.
You could fab some kind of hanger off the frame to hold the cable over. Like a exhaust hanger sort of. Something like this http://www.buy.com/retail/product.as...ingid=34614592 or http://www.opentip.com/Home-Garden/I...-p-947004.html |

It sits about 1/16th from the pipe.

Re: G16 reno
What about some header wrap? I have bought it 1 1/2 inches wide for go kart headers. I installed to keep the kids from burning themselves.
