I put a regular car battery in my cart and also in my side by side. They tend to be less money sometimes.

Bci Grp 24 is an automotive battery, and a fairly cheap one too. All Yamaha gas carts used a Bci Grp 24.

Group 24, but you can use anything that fits and the cables reach properly. I have used the cheapest full size car battery many times, but last time they were not as cheap, found a marine battery for $9 more that has posts and terminals and more cca. This works great as the terminals I can use for my lights and such. I could also toss it in a boat if needed.

According to the Maintenance manual of the G2, the battery specifications are as follows:

- US & Canada: 12V-48 AH
- Australia and others: 12V-50 AH
