Something I forgot to ask although it really doesn't matter but what steering does this have ? Is the steering box mounted to the axle or to the frame ?

On the frame kgsc, old style steering on the factory lifted STs, the no lift 800, 1200, MPTs and such had the new style on the axle after 2001.5.

Ok. Stovebolt, maybe our hubs are called something else over there. Maybe wheel flanges? The round bits that contain the wheel bearings, with studs that the wheel rim bolts to. On the ST they were steel rather than aluminium as on the TXT's does that make sense now? I seem to recall maybe these provided some offset.

The hubs are the spinning part that mounts to the spindle and a wheel bolts to. Cm I think in your post you thought the hubs protruded farther out on an ST spindle that a normal hub and STB read that as you were talking about a wheel's offset. I think. Either way the OP just going to have to make sure what he gets clears. As for my question about axle I have seen ezgo do weird things to the front suspensions. The normal carts switched steering boxes in mid 2001 or so. That being said I saw a 2005 cart with the old style steering the other day. Also found out that some of the newer carts in the workhorse/hauler line that have a model number that ends in an X will sometimes have a wider front suspension so a standard lift won't work. So what is the lesson here ? Don't trust anyone and measure everything ...

KGSC. Now you see why I suggested he took some measurements before buying lol. Yes. Ezgo did a few odd things over time but with the Txt, ST and a few other models, a lot of parts were compatible for custom builds due to the frames not changing over the years. In fact, we are due to replace our golf fleet in the spring, and I got hold of the parts book for the new txt elite lithium carts and most common components have not changed since the early nineties. Just goes to show you that despite the doomsayers putting a downer on ezgo, considering they were designed for golf use, why keep changing something that works!. Now I shall expect a bashing from you lot

Cartmaster, Sorry Sorry thought you were talking about the steel wheels, yep we call them hubs here too, just like in our mother country..

No worries my friend, I know we have some words with different meanings and I remember being scolded once for suggesting using a torch to inspect something. What you may call a flashlight lol. Also, we don't get run down when walking on the pavement. You guys use the sidewalk, but it's the same thing, just a different culture. I must remember to check before I write or I could kill someone.

No bashing at all. I live about 25 miles from the primary Ezgo plant in Augusta GA so I know quite a few folks that deal with them quite often. And yes they do some really strange things sometimes over there that will make you just scratch your head and say WTH were they thinking.
