Re: Wires! Wires!
The last Caroche I cut up for scrap was an 81. It had a DS front end instead of the Caroche front end but had everything else a Caroche had, including frozen hydraulic brakes.
Jury's still out for the OP, however. Same solenoid/accelerator system though I believe. Again, going by the one we scrapped. |

I think it's the ds I'll watch some battery making cables. Just trying to be smart and not costume an arm and a leg.

Re: Wires! Wires!
I don't have a pic of the pedals you mean the gas and brake? Their the regular brake has a parking brake.

Re: Wires! Wires!
So only two pedals, and cable brakes? Sounding like a DS (hopefully!)

Re: Wires! Wires!
Yes two brake cables to the rear so I'm thinking DS!

Re: Wires! Wires!
DS for sure--Caroches have hydraulic brakes--no cables. But being an 81 it likely had the five solenoid system and that nasty cluster of hard-to-access microswitches in the throttle assembly. I only tried once before I discovered it was nigh-impossible to re-assemble afterward and converted it to a V-glide.

Re: Wires! Wires!
It's not the complete worst just trying to figure out where to start. I've got to get the wires and just be slow clean and methodical I'll give you all an update this weekend hopefully with progress made!
