Default 2001 club car problems

Hello guys and gals. It has been a while since my last confession.....uhum i mean thread. Well my 2001 club car has not been used as often as i used to and now i have issues. The batteries seem to be ok but not great since they are from 2015, still putting out 52.4 volts right after charging and dropping to 50. 3 after 30 minutes of sitting. Couple days ago i got the dreaded click but no run. Checked connections and battery level all good. The solenoid clicks and i noticed there is no indicator light coming on my alltrax 4844 anymore. Did the smoke get let out of my controller?

Yep checked out the voltage and they have settled in at 48.7. I did forget to mention I did the go pedal conversion a few years back due to it being obsolete. Maybe that has gone again. The controller light is coming on and blinks 7 times then goes solid green but still no cart movement. Just that dreaded click of the solenoid.

i have a couple of questions:
1} Do hydrometers go bad after none use for a couple years?
2} My batteries show 55.4 volts across the pack . but each individual battery is showing 3 at 7.9 volts 3 at 8 volts. Something is not adding up here. are the plates shorting in the batteries to give me this voltage reading from 2 different DVM'S? Thanks for any help.
