Re: how can i increase me speed 5 mph?
Scotty is completely right here. My 1998 Club Car 48v DS did 11-12 mph stock. I swapped the stock crappy looking cables out for new 2/0 and 1/0 cables. Result? 13mph and a lot more torque. Another trick is to add synthetic gear oil to the rear end. I use Redline Shockproof since its superlight. It will add 2mph or close. But, by far the best improvement I had was installing a D&D motor. My cart went from 13 to 26 that day. Stock controller and stock tires. Another helpful hint: Air the hell out of your stock tires. It will ride smoother and have more speed.
Now that Plum Quick has modded my D&D motor I get 31 on the straights. Stock tires still!! |

I made my wires out of welding cable I had lying around. If you have not done it yet drain the axle and put some Redline Shockproof Super Light gear oil in. You can get a quart from Summit for less than $20 shipped. I bet it will add 2mph to your cart and make it feel smoother.

That's why it matters which one you put in. Some work better than others.
