Default reverse

my 2004 txt when a complete stop ounce in awhile i shift into reverse and it sounds like my clutch is turning but the belt is not engaging after a few seconds the belt engages and i hear a loud clunk then it runs ok i got a head of my self it happens after i put it in reverse and step on gas it happens had chemo today not thinking strait is my belt in need of changing or am i looking at some big expense? your help would be greatly appreciated

Could be the shifter cable needs adjustment, is there a a clicking noise also?

have you tried getting the rear wheels off the ground and than taking the seat off and try to see just where the clunk is coming from? could be clutch sticking, or bad motor mount........try and pinpoint the noise.........................

Put the cart in neutral and start it. rev it until the drive clutch engages and use a piece of emory cloth to clean the end of the clutch shaft. Then lube it with some WD-40. That usually works for me.
