Default Re: A generalized question

Thanks for the replies.

Most of the road in question, is flat other than the tunnels going under the major roads. Looking at mapquest, I figure it to be a little over 8 miles, one way. If my batteries (almost a year old) are supposed to get about 20 miles of driving distance on a charge, I figure it to be doable. Of course, I can charge the batteries while I am visiting, but I think that I am going to see if I can make the round trip. I have never stressed the batteries, and I would like to see the limitations of this thing. Like I said before, it is a 97' CC DS series motor. I do have a 400 amp controller, 4 gauge cables, and 22 inch rear tires. This is my "rat cart." My wife has the nicer 2004 Yamaha, but it seems so slow, that when I am in it, I want to step out of it and see if it is actually moving. But, she won't let me touch it, other than allowing me to install seat belts.

I think you should be able to make it. BUT Just to be on the safe side stop by your local Walmart and get you a 20ft tow rope/strap. Then you could call your son or wife to come and tow you home.

Yep, got a tow rope in the "glove compartment" (junk box). And the son just purchased a brand new gaser, that can probably make the round trip five times, with one tank of liquid gold.
