the resistor shown in pics came with the solenoid it wont fit the large post

That is a diode shown in the pictures. You don't have any pictures of a resistor. Also it looks like there is something soldered between two of the posts. I wonder if that is a diode.

You don't use a pre-charge resistor with the Curtis 1268. FSIP says to remove it.

ok this is the precharge resistor that came off my presedent IQ it was between the large post on stock solenoid so the small one is a diode where does it go ive got everything done except for diode and the two small blue wires that connect to the solenoid not sure where they go either

Discard the pre-charge resistor, You will not need it.

They put the wrong ends on the diode, You will need to replace the existing ring terminals with .250 female push-on terminals.

I wrote down on your picture where the connections go.

Here, you should have gotten this with your package from the company you purchased the controller from.
