This thread is a mess!

Everybody except the original poster should stop and go start your own thread.

This is not your repair thread, you are hijacking this guys thread, so let him get his cart fixed and you can go do the same.

Also If you are having trouble with any product you bought from me, re read the instruction. And if that fails to tell you what you need call me!

This piling on of 3 carts in one thread is a mess....

OK gents....I did the M- to main battery negative jump as suggested and nothing happened.

Does this mean I have smoked the motor? any sources for a new one if that's the case?

Thank you ScottyB - I did follow your directions easy as pie. perhaps my problem wasn't the controller/solenoid to begin with. At least I'm upgraded now if i keep this POS going! LOL.

Matty call the shop, I don't advocate jumping the controller to the motor. A novice can do more damage than good with a test like this.
Even when it works it is *** hard on everything.
If you must hot wire a motor it is better to do it with 18v not 36.

Indeed this is a quick shop tool for me...better to do scottyb sticky test as follows:

MOTOR UNWANTED CONTINUITY TEST
The following tests can assist in troubleshooting.
Disconnect all wires to the motor and label them
Make sure none of the terminals are grounded to the motor or cart (F1 terminal to motor frame) You should have continuity present between F1 and F2 and A1 and A2 but NOT BETWEEN ANY A and ANY F Terminal.
If any of these test fail, the motor will not operate correctly.

Sorry Scotty. . I was trying to help the op out by telling him what happened to me when I upgraded. It looks like you and I were thinking along the same lines though.Matty, call Scotty, he'll help you get it going!

Whew!!!! Fixed it FINALLY. ScottyB thank you for your help. It was actually the center nut on the HD fwd/r switch. Its a bit testy and has to be tightened from the front AND the back just right.
