02 ezgo pds cart got wet now it won't run
Golf cart was running fine til we used it in a water gun fight. Buckets of water were thrown. Now golf cart will not move. It has 600 amp controller with a 400 amp solenoid. Any suggestions???

It did make clicking noise but then something smelled like it was burnt.

Dry the cart out if you have not already done that.....before any power is applied.
My Series got wet and it took an air compressor and a hair dryer to get everything dry....two days of drying and it worked fine. Do you see any charred wires or can you smell which item burnt? |

Nothing really got wet but the main diode on the 400 amp solenoid got hot & the 600 amp control box started sizzling. Tried it again today & same thing happened today. I have 1.0 wires on it.

Update on golf cart........had a bad storm on the day the golf cart quit. The needle on the charger acted up & made a funny sound. When that happened, it sent too much voltage thru the batteries, the 400 amp solenoid resistor & smoked the controller. This all happened over a few hours. I did think it was because the golf cart got wet but everything was dry. Thanks to alltrax, I now have a new controller on the way. Thanks to ev drives for the information & new resistors that are on the way. I also ordered a speedometer to keep a check on the temperature & voltage of the batteries.

Forgot to say that my motor is a spicer 48 volt class H. DV1-4001. 19 hp.
