Re: 1999 DCS Controller Dead???
Here is what I suggest you do, go here,
http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/elect...eshooting.html In the first post there're is a document that simply says dcs.pdf Print that out in color and follow it step by step, the trouble shooting steps still apply even though you have converted to 48v and an alltrax. Where it says 36v on the PDF you should be checking for 48v. All other voltages will be the same. Using this you should find you problem. |

Re: 1999 DCS Controller Dead???
OK I ran all the tests and its pointing me to the its. So I checked the its by connecting DVM black probe to b- and probing white wire on the its with the +probe. I got 10.43 with solenoid activated and 6.2 at full acceleration. Does this sound like I need to replace the its?

What? That is not right! Look back at the dcs.pdf document on test 6 you should see 13-15 volts. Test 7 should show 0.4-1.6 volts.

Re: 1999 DCS Controller Dead???
OK with the DVM black probe on main battery pack - for both tests and red probe touching pin contacts.
Test 6 gets 0 volts Test 7 gets 10.4 |

Re: 1999 DCS Controller Dead???
Those voltages are too low. I think you just found your problem.

Re: 1999 DCS Controller Dead???
Your original controller is good so maybe you can sell it to recoup the cost for a new its sensor
