What does that mean? 'a lug came off his old switch'?

there are 4 studs on the switch that the wires from the motor run to. one came off somehow. not sure if it meted off or broke off. he replaced it with a new one and now it wont do anything. just trying to help him get it going.

Okay So the old F&R melted a cable or lug off and then he put a new F&R in and there is no movement...
Does the solenoid click when you try to go?

Get him a wiring diagram from the stickies above this section and have him troubleshoot the solenoid activation circuit. The solenoid must click before we can expect the cart to run.

Likely there is a precharge resistor for the controller on the big lugs of the solenoid.... this will always have power running through it so it is a false test with it on. He could remove it and redo the test? But here is what he should have. with the test leads on the 2 small solenoid terminals, key on, cart in gear, peddle down, he should read 48v+, If not then he needs to determine which side is missing, + or - and then with a diagram troubleshoot the solenoid activation circuit...
I believe the - side of the circuit comes directly and constantly from the OBC. If it is not present try installing a jumper wire to provide 48v neg to the small post were the yellow wire is,
Then the + side should come from the MCOR through the F&R micro (red with white stripe) so it could be a bad micro...
Atleast that's the way this ezgo tech remembers it, LOL
