Default Seven Battery EZ-Go

I just inherited a 2001 or 2002 Ez-go has 7 Trojan 105's under the seat. They are dated best I can tell from reading the forum's back to 2005 (top stamp has 05). Not too sure what model it is the body has been changed out to a 57 Chevy (Chadmark). Front left plate only has Golf Car listed 1.49kW. Manufacturer code is C2097.

Would anyone know what model this is, and I am assuming that it is 48 volt especially since I received a 48v charger with it. Just that I've not seen any threads mentioned about a 7 battery golf cart.

Thanks for the help!

Joe

To my knowledge I thought those were only offered to fit the Club Car frame, which are 48 volts...

Welcome to BGW!

You might have a cart made by Western. http://lidomotorsusa.com/

Some of them have a 42V systems (7x6V), but they also have 42V chargers.

Seven year old batteries are most likely boat anchors, but even if they aren't, they soon will be if you charge them with a 48V charger.

The battery date code for a T-105 should be on the negative post and consist of a letter and a number.
The letter will be A-L, representing the month.
The number will be the last digit of the year.
"05" might be "C5" or "D5", meaning Mar-2005 or Apr-2005.

The last two digit of the Manufacture code is probably the year, so something was made in 1997.

Pictures of the cart would help ID it.

Also, pictures under seat, pictures of controller and pictures of motor will help figure out what the drive system is.

Take care of that charger, they are very expensive to replace. We have lots of 42v carts here close to the old Western 'factory'. They are refitted ezgos. for the most part Ezgo chassis and drive system parts fit.
