08 txt pds stock breaks
Just bought an 08 pds txt 4" lift with 22's.. wife is a tiny little lady and has trouble with the brakes, to hard to push down... will going to the cable brakes be easier and later putting front hydrolics or go full hydrolics rite away..???

Re: 08 txt pds stock breaks
The cable brakes increase the braking pressure but they use the same cable pull system as the shoe & drum set up. The pressure needed is about the same but you better results.

check and make sure the cable is not binding. I have seen them rust up internally and you arn't really moving the brakes, just the tension spring on teh pedal. MAKE sure teh cable is actuatly moving.

Re: 08 txt pds stock breaks
Cable works, seems to move freely, wife doesn't have the umph to push it down, just wondering if 1) will the disc be easier to push down vs. stock drums? 2) I LIKE THE ADDITION OF FRONT HYDROLICS, READ FROM A PREVIOUS THREAD, oops, caps lock, lol.. adding them to the fronts later..
