Rear axle problems.
Cart runs very very slow while on ground. Jack cart up and motor runs very fast. I removed tires and found that i am able to stop the turning hubs by hand while pressing on the go pedal. Am i looking at a bad rear axle or just an old motor? 2001 txt f\r under legs on seat.

Re: Rear axle problems.
you should be able to stop one side at a time by hand and cause the other side to start turning, this is normal for this type of cart...you should get a reading off each battery under a load and make sure you dont have one dropping out...and a side note its not good for your motor to run very fast off the ground, this can damage it...

Re: Rear axle problems.
Welcome to BGW!
Sounds like bad batteries, or maybe they're simply not being charged properly. Not being charged properly could be a charger issue, or user error. The batteries ought to be recharged each time cart is used. A fully charged 36V battery pack should read 38.2V. The top speed of a stock TXT cart with a series wound motor is about 12MPH. |
