Photos of DCX Controler in a PDS
I recently purchased the following upgrades for my 2007 EZGO PDS which will operate at 36VDC (48VDC someday…):
Advanced Motor EY7-4001 DCX600PDS Alltrax Controller 2GA Wire Set MZJ-400 Solenoid (with Resistor & Diode) I also purchased the Alltrax Solenoid mounting bracket and a fuse holder. I thought I would fabricate a plate to hold the “Run / Tow” switch as the new controller will not fit inside the stock enclosure (nor is it recommended to do so) and mount the fuse holder toward the bottom of the existing mounting plate. Does anybody have any photos of their installations they can share? Thanks! |

Re: Photos of DCX Controler in a PDS
No pics but I just cut the lower half of my controller cover off. The Alltrax bolted up to where the original was and put the solenoid on the mounts on the front of the controller. Unit is waterproof so the cover is just there to keep things away from big battery cables.

Thanks kgsc! Did you position the controler such that the cables were facing the top or the bottom? I would like the cable facing the top so I can see the LED...

Yes the controller connections and the LED should be on the top side. Just like the original
Here is a little instruction sheet I send with the DCX controller instruction kit to help with the cover modification. |

Here are pics of my 500amp... I also used the old solenoid mounting bracket as a new mount for my tow/run switch.
