Re: EZ-GO 48V custom build
The T-860 batteries might be a little lightweight for the application.
If the 48V Led SoC meter is a bar graph type, a DVM type would be better. The Delta Q charger is basically a non-repairable item, there are better on-board chargers out there. Other than those three items, which are only my personal preferences rather than issues, that ought to be a nice hunting cart. |

Nice work. Im building a very similar looking buggy including the camo, controller, & motor minus a few accessories.
Where did you get the Bow Holders? |

They are Mad Dog brand. I picked one set up a few years ago at a local shop and the latest set came from Cabela's. They are usually $39.99, but caught them on sale for $19.99.

Re: EZ-GO 48V custom build
JohnnieB- T-875's would have been better, but my battery supplier made me an unbeatable deal on the 860's I couldnt pass up. So far, they have done the job well. I know the bar type LED SOC meter is not the best, but I'm really never in a situation when hunting where I'm worried about battery charge as I only make short runs out and back in the morning and afternoon and charge in between. On the Delta Q charger, I used to be a Ruff-n-Tuff Dealer and they had a closeout sale on the Delta Q's so once again I couldnt afford not to use it. I've got two more in the box if this one blows up. Sometimes it's not what's better, but what you have access to and at what cost. No disrespect intended, just wanted to clarify the reasoning of my choices.

Except for the LED bar graph SoC meter that is. In my opinion, the DVM type is best, the old analog type is next and the LED bar graph is a very distant third. I'm running into a similar battery choice. I want to install a higher capacity set of Trojan or Crown, but I can get set of Interstate GC2-XHD (232AH) for far less money and much easier logistics. |

His profit on the six batteries will be what he normally makes on just one. Over the years, I helped him save a bundle on a security camera system to keep an eye on his horse stables at night and done some other things, so it is a payback of sorts. |

Re: EZ-GO 48V custom build
JohnnieB, had a guy tell me yesterday that Interstate used to be made by USBattery and are now being made somewhere in Mexico. May not be true but that is what I heard. I just bought a set myself but couldn't turn down the price.. Maybe ask your dealer buddy
