Default 36v motor on 48v

I just joined today and wondering if you can run a 36v cart on 48 volts? This will be my 1st cart build and have not decided the exact direction yet. I do know that I will ad front and rear racks, 2-4 inch lift, 22" or smaller knobbys, upgraded solinoid, and a light kit. No major hill climbing or mudding, no winch, 2 passengers and a deer at most for weight. Any and all suggestions are appreciated and Thank You in advance.

A series motor will work fine on 48 volts....your controller and solenoid WONT work on 48 volts if its not rated for it. (if you have a controller cart) We need to know what you have first.
