Re: DPI Accusense charger and OBC bypass procedure
If someone can hand sketch the circuit I'll Draw it in cad and post it for everyone, it seems like the same question gets asked often.
It seems like if you eliminate the OBC, run the two black wires as described above, one for the charge outlet and the other for the solenoid, that is basically it correct? Will this work for all models? |

Re: DPI Accusense charger and OBC bypass procedure
I've got no qualms about preforming the wiring I'm just curious if removing the OBC is the same with an Excel system as it is with an IQ other than color code?

I for one, hate on-board chargers. I don't think a charger should have to go everywhere with the cart if it sleeps in the same place every night. Not to mention the extra vibration and dirt that it's exposed to. |

Re: DPI Accusense charger and OBC bypass procedure
Dave, it that the Light Blue wire, that is sending 48v to the controller? After looking at a few diagrams the colors vary.
I agree why would anyone want to make this so complicated, LOL |

Re: DPI Accusense charger and OBC bypass procedure
Ok thanks for the wiring insite and opinions. You are right about the charger; I'll spend the money on the garage instead...

Re: DPI Accusense charger and OBC bypass procedure
I don't know if it's light or dark, but it's the only blue wire in the six pin OBC connector.

Anyway thanks for chiming in as I hadn't thought out the on board charger idea very well. My reasoning was well intended as even thou shown my wife can manage to be outsmarted by the charge plug.... |

Re: DPI Accusense charger and OBC bypass procedure
To bypass OBC and make vehicle run, wire 6 needs to be looped to Wire 29.
To bypass OBC charge circuit and make vehicle charge, run a new 10 gauge black wire from negative post of charger receptacle to main negative battery post. |
