If someone can hand sketch the circuit I'll Draw it in cad and post it for everyone, it seems like the same question gets asked often.

It seems like if you eliminate the OBC, run the two black wires as described above, one for the charge outlet and the other for the solenoid, that is basically it correct? Will this work for all models?

I've got no qualms about preforming the wiring I'm just curious if removing the OBC is the same with an Excel system as it is with an IQ other than color code?

In removing the OBC on an Excel cart I'm guessing that I would require the same jumper for the solenoid except mine would carry a different color code according to the wiring diagram that I have.... Other than wiring the plug into the battery bay as described above in this thread there should be nothing else to it correct?

Also thinking about mounting the charger in the bag well and adding a retracting cord for plugging into the wall... What y'all say?
Bypass procedure for IQ and Excel cars is totally different than bypass procedure for series cars. You'll need to unplug the 6-pin connector from the OBC and jump the red wire to the blue wire on the car side of the harness... You may then re-route the #10 black from receptacle to main Battery negative. Grey control lead wire gets clipped at the receptacle. It's no longer used.

I for one, hate on-board chargers. I don't think a charger should have to go everywhere with the cart if it sleeps in the same place every night. Not to mention the extra vibration and dirt that it's exposed to.

Dave, it that the Light Blue wire, that is sending 48v to the controller? After looking at a few diagrams the colors vary.

I agree why would anyone want to make this so complicated, LOL

Ok thanks for the wiring insite and opinions. You are right about the charger; I'll spend the money on the garage instead...

I don't know if it's light or dark, but it's the only blue wire in the six pin OBC connector.

You are correct Dawg it is the only blue in the plug according to the drawing which I find to be lacking a bit in detail for the Excel cart as they just don't show all of the connections as they do in the IQ drawing...

Anyway thanks for chiming in as I hadn't thought out the on board charger idea very well. My reasoning was well intended as even thou shown my wife can manage to be outsmarted by the charge plug....

To bypass OBC and make vehicle run, wire 6 needs to be looped to Wire 29.

To bypass OBC charge circuit and make vehicle charge, run a new 10 gauge black wire from negative post of charger receptacle to main negative battery post.
