Which lift to go with?
I have a 1998 48v with a plum quick motor. I want to get a 6" lift and new rims and tires. I have been looking at ebay for lift kits is there any I should stay away from? Which is the best bang for the buck? I have limited funds but I don't want to get one and regret it later? I also need one with new springs in the back since with my rear seat it sags really bad.
what do you think I should go with? should I stay away from the $200 lift from ebay? Thanks |

All-Sports 6" A-Arm lift kit. The springs don't come with it but they sell them separate.

The a A arm lift is a little more but worth the money I think. That's what I'm gonna go with. Now I just have to pick from the all sports, jakes or madjaxs. Tough choice.

Not sure about the Jake's long arm, never seen one. But the MadJax looks to be nothing but a rebadged All Sports kit.

Re: Which lift to go with?
If you are on a budget and just doing it for the looks, go with the Jakes spindle lift. Don't buy the cheap ebay version. Do you have a rear seat or carry cargo on the back? If not, you may not need the springs - stay with 22" tires as recommended. I have 23" tires and have a back seat, no HD springs but mine doesn't rub - but it wasn't sagging either.

Re: Which lift to go with?
Depends on a lot of factors but general rules are if it is just for looks spindle is fine. Trail riding light to medium off road use go A-arm. Hard core trail riding carving your own path through the woods go long travel. Most off the site sponsors have prices close to or equal to eBay prices. Whenever possible use site sponsors to keep this site going!

Re: Which lift to go with?
thanks for the info! I have 200 acres of trailes behind my house my dad owns all the trails are clean and nice enough to take just about any car or truck through.
I would have some light duty trail riding because the cart stays 90% of the time at the camp ground. I do have a rear seat on it and need heavy springs mine are terrible |

Re: Which lift to go with?
I just bought the 8" a-arm kit from ebay. I'll let yall know how I make out. It does come with heavy duty rear leaf springs. I also purchased the brake cable bracket. Once I get the lift installed I'll decide what tires and rims to go with so I have no regrets. This is my first cart.
