Default '84 Starting Problems

Just got done replacing a bunch of parts on my G1 and am having trouble now. New parts include new crank seals, fuel pump, fuel and vacuum hoses, new carburetor, and various other rubber parts and some gaskets. After completing this, it started and ran great for about 5 minutes then went completely dead. I pulled the plug at this point and it was sparking (got a decent shock myself).
Left it sit for a few days and now it will fire but it won't really start up and it's blowing a ton of smoke out the exhaust. Did a compression test before I tried starting it today and it was 110 psi. After it sputtered and ran very slowly for about 50 feet, compression was 105 psi or so. Looked at the fuel filter and the pump is pulling it through. It's not leaking fuel either so it has to be going somewhere. Anyone have any ideas on what's going on?

Solved:

Main jet was laying in the float bowl of the Chinesium carburetor. Way too much fuel being sucked in and flooding it out. Put it all back together and it fired right up. Should be good for another 36 years.

The phrase "never wake a sleeping baby" applied to carts is "never tinker with a good running cart."
