Already checked the suction line from the pump to the crankcase.

Yes, fuel lines checked when fuel pump was changed.

Both filters go dry when the engine is running?

Re: 2006 DS gas cart will not stay running
That's just weird, as the pump should prevent that. I just can't stop thinking it's a fuel pump issue...

Re: 2006 DS gas cart will not stay running
There is probably a filter on the end of the fuel line going into the tank. Two ways you can clean it. One is to pull the line that goes from the tank to the pump and use compressed air and blow air back into the tank. The other way is too pull the line out of the tank and clean the screen off.

Re: 2006 DS gas cart will not stay running
Still having issues. We removed the carb and put it on another gas cart and that one ran fine. The fuel filters are not keeping fuel in them. The dealer, over 2 hours away, says that the next possible area to look at is around the fuel shutoff switch......Cart will run for a few minutes and then shut off, like its starving for fuel. Either way, there seems to be very little vacuum pressure to get fuel. As a reminder, we did also replace the fuel pump. Does inspecting/cleaning the fuel shutoff switch sound like a potential issue? The only thing that the dealer mentioned was it could possibly be a engine compression issue. Definitely hope not!!!
Thanks! |

Re: 2006 DS gas cart will not stay running
HELP PLEASE.....Is therre anything electrical that could be causing the fuel pump to possibly stop pumping fuel, after the cart runs for a few minutes? I have checked every possible fuel restrictrion area, that I can think of. Thank you!!!
