Whew Clint...you brought up an old thread!
but that's o.k.! I'd almost forgot about this one!

You can use a K&N filter, BUT... use the the filter that fits in the stock air box, (#33-2022) with a slightly larger main jet!
I've been running mine for some 5 or so years, and am truly happy with having a choke if I need it!

Glad this is a old thread, just read it and got a headache from the stupidity.

It works fine, you just have to choke it with a rag.. Wow.

And i agree with everone else with a brain as it was the same way on my old stock motor, they are NOT happy when the intake is compromised.
