Need help with the run/tow
I am reinstalling my controller and the labeling has been removed from the run tow switch. I think it might have gotten bumped back into run. Is anyone able to tell me which direction is run vs tow. Under the switch there is a black and red wire. The switch on top is toggled toward the direction of the red wire. Is that mean it’s in a tow configuration?

Re: Need help with the run run/tow
Someone will know the colors, or you should be able to see from a wiring diagram, but in the meantime you can figure out the switch with a dmm. Just see which direction you switch it to have continuity on both sides.

Re: Need help with the run/tow
According to the schematics, the TXT48 has a red wire on both sides of the Run/Tow switch while an RXV has a red wire (voltage source) and a black wire (goes to controller Pin-13), so my guess is Lees23's cart is a RXV.
The closed contacts on a toggle switch usually are the ones opposite the side the toggle leans towards. So if the top or the toggle is above the red wire, the switch is in the RUN position. Best way is put a voltmeter on the black wire terminal. If it has voltage on it, it is in RUN, if it doesn't it is in TOW. |

FWIW: Here are drawings showing the relationship between the toggle level and which contacts are closed for SPST and SPDT switches.
