Default 89 EZ GO Slow spinning starter

I am new to golf carts(just bought first one today). It is a 1989 3 wheeled 2 cycle. When i press the gas pedal to start it the starter just spins really slow. The motor is free,When i bought it the guy jumped it and it started.I am trying to jump it and it is still spinning slow.Im not sure if it is the starter.

I will do that. From the looks of it it has a internal starter.I am not fimiliar with these at all.I have worked on atv and motorcycles but never seen one like this, but i hear the are expensive to replace.Anyone ever have any dealings with these?

Put it on thecharger over night and still nothing. After doing a little reading aroung i think it is a 1971-75 because it has a internal starter.I ordered a brush set for the starter to see if that would help at all.Any one know if i have to pull the motor to do the brushes or if i can do it in the cart?

I agree. An overnite charge doesn't guarantee a fully charged batt. The plates in the batt. could be bad preventing a full or sufficient charge.
