Re: 2000 ezgo gas--how can i make it faster
The cheapest fix for low end is a shorter belt. The shorter belt changes the gear ratio for some really noticeable low end power. You can tighten up the gov. spring and get that top end up. My 2000 TXT tops out at 27 with loads of hill climbing and pulling power with a stock 295 mci...

Re: 2000 ezgo gas--how can i make it faster
The real fix is to buy a 28 degree driven clitch. Your's can be convrted for under $100.
That clutch holds the "transmission" in a lower ration until yuou can build speed. You loose nothing on top speed. Shorter bekts will work, but take off the top end speed. If you haven't altered youir goveber, screw it in all the way and see how it does. Be careful not to go too fast and check the oil, please. Have fun |

Re: 2000 ezgo gas--how can i make it faster
I looked at the 28 dg. clutch and went with the belt simply b/c of price. The belt gave me plenty of power and I didn't lose hardly any top end. I just adjusted the gov. and gor back what little I lost. So the clutch ain't the only way, it's just a little more expensive.
