Default $259.00/400 amp controller - is it true?

Can this be true? An upgraded OEM controller that's 400 amps? Anybody familiar with it? Any thoughts? $259.00 for 400 amps?

If Tom at CPP says it is, then it's true

For the price of this controller, I could add scottys cables and hp solenoid and be near the cost of an alltrax! Is the Alltrax worth almost twice the price? There has to be a catch?

That's a series controller if you are looking for a controller for your Precedent it won't work.

Is the cost difference because the Alltrax is programmable?

I may have read it wrong, but they require a Curtis 1204 as a core, or add $100. It is a rebuilt unit also. Not that there is anything wrong with that, but then you're back into the realm of the Alltrax.

Yeah, I saw that too. But I would have given up my old controller to save $100.00. But it makes no diff anyway. I'll be stuck with that Alltrax DCX500IQ, I guess.
