Look on the cross bar the shocks attach to, thats where I found mine on my 79.

Your G1-a is an 1984 or later (I can tell because of the primary clutch). The serial# will be located on the rear main frame rectangular tube where the number bolts to. Not a big deal on the serial number though, all G1's from 1984 and up used the same parts. As for the lift, be advized, you may need to "notch/fabricate" the main frame where the primay clutch cap is. Good luck on your new toy

MJ have a look at my cart......thats a photo above of the notch I did , it has been healed and reinforced in this photo, ........Great cart. Have fun with it.

Now when I do find the serial number, I think i'm going to go with the jakes lift and just 10" black steel rims and mud tires. Who has the best prices and shipping cost. I'm not to picky on the tires really, I want a 6" lift though and as tall of tires I can afford

I went out and took a pic of my G1, as i said in my other post it is hard to see, i had to wire wheel it to see it,

my father and I looked agian. It must be missing. Rust is bad. Would the fella that says it a 84 or later, is that enough info to order a lift kit . Just to say it was for a 84-89 g-1 will that work or knot?

All G1's will use the same kit.
