There are 2 throttle positions that this cart can run on 48v, they are wide open throttle and off. Anything in between will result in the pictures above.

I drove it for a year, WOT and Coast, WOT and coast....a little hairy but, no problem... let somebody else drive it and in half mile it looked like this!

About 6-700
There are many levels of upgrade to choose from. You can buy or make cables sets and throttle conversions depending upon your likes and needs. |

What do you mean 'Make cable sets and throttle mechanisms'?
Whats going to be the bulk of the costs here? Can you give me a layout of what all I should get to have plenty of room for 'voltage', so to speak? Controller i'm assuming, solenoid, batteries, charger connection, charger, then what? |

A throttle conversion and potentiometer mount is $129. You will need this to replace the V-glide with the potentiometer. You won't need a new charger receptacle if you get the right charger. Mine comes with a plug to match your cart.
Some guys have used the 36v charger and a 12v charger on the 2 extra batteries in the rear. Depends upon your budget. A choice like that can save a few hundred dollars going into the project with an eye towards upgrading the charge system later. |

you can keep the v-glide by adding resistors... its not the smoothest pot, but its cheap and reliable.
